Team specialize in Rocket Propulsion and our experience and skills extends from Solid propellant rockets to Liquid propellant and Hybrid rocket propulsion. Our current focus has been Hybrid rockets and more into experimental and simulation studies for these systems.
Air-breathing Propulsion
Another focus is on air-breathing engines, namely hybrid engines like ducted rockets and Ramjets (dual mode). While for ramjets efforts have been given to get high performance engines by enhancing mixing, stabilized flames hence efficiency, and active involvement to understand the feasibility of air-breathing based combined cycle engines for higher performance, longer range and lighter engines (better payload fraction) for range of applications.
Combustion
CFD Simulation of reactive flows hence combustion for both premixed and diffusion combustion types are going on for internal work and same can be provided as consultation for different combustion applications from Gas-turbines, rockets, air-breathing engines to other industrial combustion problems.
Intakes
Work focuses mainly on computational studies on high speed intakes for airbreathing engines for supersonic and hypersonic such as ramjets, scramjets and other hybrid air-breathing engines. Currently mixed compression intakes studies have been explored due to their superior merits over other types of intakes with emphasizing on both planar and axisymmetric intakes. Consultation of intake development is possible and can be undertaken upon request.
